What to put in the first email

None of this is required. It just means the reply you get is useful rather than a list of questions.

  • 02Whether anything already exists code, designs, a running system
  • 03The date that matters, and what happens if it slips
  • 04A budget range, even a rough one
  • 05Who we would be working with day to day

What happens next

    Someone reads your email properly a person, not a routing rule.

  2. 02

    You get a reply with questions, or a time for a call. Never an auto-response and never a generic rate card.

  3. 03

    Then a call with the person who would actually run the project, not a salesperson.
